Upon this idle plain,
where the old ones rest.
I screamed all in vain,
trembling at the rest.
For all I knew,
broke and shattered,
and the sirens blared
for nothing ever mattered.
To you we gave
riches untold,
from derelict caves,
for us to behold
the horrors of the new
and the screams of the forgotten
and for the lucky few,
in these crypts they lie rotten
