The Spirit: Differences between Higher and Lower Species
In the creation of the Gods, many animals roam this plain, Príthvī, inhabiting different parts of this landscape. In this world of secluded species, diverse biomes, there are only two constants. These two constant species are vastly different and have both conquered the world through different ways, Humans and ants. In almost all corners of the world now, you can find ants and humans living there for generations, the ants living there for perhaps eons prior to human arrival. Humans came rather recently, conquering the globe in the last 100,000 years. Evolution being far too slow for the Human ambition, we innovated with boats, weapons and the path to civilization began. In this way, we are set apart from ants.
Humans, physically, aren't the strongest creatures. They lack the speed of a cheetah, wings of a bird, size of a bull or the senses of an eagle. Humans possess something all the animals mentioned previously lack, Spirit. The Human spirit is this untameable ambition to summit, conquer and excel. All of us have this innate spirit within us, for some it is stronger than others.
Our Spirit of conquest is so strong, we find a need everyday to do something. To improve ourselves, to help others, to fight, to nurture. Animals don't have a lot of these inclinations if it doesn't fit their miniscule social structure. The mere fact that we developed organized language, tools, clothes and society is a sign that humans have a higher purpose.
